We just recently moved my mother into a long term care facility - the Gibson House at Leslie and Steeles. She was getting more and more confused during the wait to get in. She has now been there for three weeks and my brother and I have been taking turns visiting her daily. The level of dementia has increased and she is more and more confused. She now wears an alarm bracelet as mom is trying to get out the front door. She is very angry with us and wants to leave. The nurses told us yesterday that they cannot babysit her anymore and that she would have been moved already to lockdown on their third floor if there was a bed available. Yesterday the nurse suggested we should get a companion for her to keep her occupied. Is this a service you provide. We have monday and Friday afternoons covered, but were wondering if someone could visit her on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We seem to be getting the most calls in the afternoon that she is trying to leave. We are there every evening for a few hours. Please let me know availability and rates. Thank you.
